CV of Prof. Dr. Omolola Atalabi

Prof. Dr. Atalabi heads the Paediatric Radiology Unit of University College Hospital Ibadan as an honorary consultant radiologist and is a Professor of Radiology at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. She is a fellow of the West African College of surgeons (Faculty of Radiology), as well as a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (Faculty of Radiology). She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Ibadan.

Dr. Atalabi pioneered the formation of the Society of Paediatric Imaging in Nigeria and has remained a global advocate for the cause of paediatric radiology in Nigeria, and Africa at large.

She has previously served as the president, World Federation of Pediatric Radiology; president, African Society of Paediatric Imaging and president, Society of Paediatric Imaging in Nigeria. She has also led the executive teams of several local, national, regional and international professional organizations.

She is a lead examiner in diagnostic radiology for both postgraduate medical colleges in Nigeria, and an assistant editor for the Journal of Pediatric Radiology.
